Pomegranate iced green tea
Preparation: 8 minutes
Chilling time: 30 minutes
Makes: 2.25 litres
You will need:
12 green tea bags
5 cups (1.25 litres) boiling water
2 tbsp honey
1 orange, finely sliced
3 cups (750ml) pomegranate juice
1 cup (250ml) pomegranate liqueur
Ice cubes, to serve
Ready to go:
Step 1: Discard the tags from the tea bags and place in a large heatproof bowl. Cover with the boiling water and allow to steep for 8 minutes.
Step 2: Remove the tea bags from the liquid, squeeze and discard. Stir through the honey to dissolve. Add the orange slices, pomegranate juice and liqueur, place in the freezer for 30 minutes to chill.
Step 3: To serve, pour into serving jugs or glasses with ice cubes.
Tip: For a non-alcoholic version, just substitute the liqueur with an extra cup of pomegranate juice. You may need to boost the sweetness with more honey.
